God is so Good!

I realized a little while ago that I actually have people who read this blog! lol I thought I was alone in my little piece of cyberland. Apparently, while I was deciding whether to stay at HSB or switch over to blogger, people were in the background, waiting for my next post. Who knew?

I thought I'd share with you the story behind this pregnancy. For those who know me well, it'll be old news. However, the reminder of just how good and faithful the Lord is should never get old!

I've been married to my pastor/husband for the past 17.5 years and we have faced the battle of infertility throughout those years. The Lord graciously allowed us to see fertility specialists along the way and as a result, our first daughter was born in '97 and our twins were born in '02.

God made us a promise though - through circumstances too personal and precious to me - I will just say that God told both my husband and myself that He would one day give us another child without the assistance of modern medicine. That promise was made almost eleven years ago.

I would be lying if I said that I never doubted, especially in these past three years. The older I get, the more I began to question, "was that REALLY you God?"; "did I misunderstand?" As sure as I am of my salvation, that is the same surety I had of the answer to those questions. I know my Shepherd's voice! Praise the Lord!

So, while others may take a positive pregnancy test for granted, it is a treasure to me. This baby is God's promise fulfilled! It is His divine hand working in our lives and reminding us that He always keeps His promises!!!

I stand amazed....I am no more worthy/unworthy or deserving/undeserving than I was last month or last year or ten years ago. It is the Lord's mercy and His grace that we have been blessed in such a way. God is faithful!
