Or not.... lol  I promised a run down of our anticipated curriculum for the year!  Sorry for the delay in posting.  It's funny how the Lord does things for our good that we don't even realize.  I had planned on starting our school year more than a month ago.  Then life happened.  For the last month, I have thought little about schooling and just focused on family.  I believe it's the first month since we started homeschooling (eight years ago!) that I haven't been overwhelmed mentally by thoughts of school. It's been a very pleasant, albeit unplanned, reprieve!
Many homeschool moms talk about that magical year when they finally found their groove; things just clicked.  From what I've read, that normally comes two or three years into it.  Leave it to me to be a late bloomer; I believe I am only now feeling this way!  I think perhaps it has a lot to do with our lifestyle.  With my husband in the ministry, we have had a lot of changes in our lives over the years....moving from state to state, health issues, life....This year feels different - in a good way!
Enough rambling. For those like me who enjoy seeing what others are doing, here is our list:
Bible:  The Narrow Way from Pearables
Math:  Teaching Textbooks (1g12): I am particularly excited about this curriculum and have wanted to try it for a couple of years now. Thanks to other homeschooling moms purchasing our used curriculum, I was able to buy this for our eldest daughter. What a blessing!
A Beka (2&3g8)
English:  Landmark (1g12); Alpha & Omega (2&3g8).  Spelling is incorporated into both of these programs.
Literature: ACE (1g12);  A Beka (2&3g8)
Handwriting: A Beka (2&3g8)
Science: Apologia, Exploring Creation with Human Anatomy & Physiology (All).  I am so excited about this course! I loved biology in school and am hoping the girls will enjoy it as well!
History: My Father's Word & A Beka  (All).  We didn't quite make it through MFW Geography last year so I am combining it with A Beka's History of the World.
And that about does it!  If you have a blog and have shared your curriculum choices for the year, please post a comment and let me know!  And if you have any questions as to why we chose a certain curriculum, please feel free to ask!
Have a blessed day!

AH, I miss those days. I loved going through the curriculums and deciding what I would use. I used mostly Abeka and BJU.
