I was contemplating this very question today.  What is time worth?  What are all those minutes worth, those moments that tick away while we waste our time on things that have no eternal value?
I had my children at the local park today. As I sat there listening to their squeals of delight, I thought about what that moment would be worth to one that couldn't hear.
As I watched their laughing cheeks turn rosy in the chilly autumn air, I wondered what that moment would be worth to a blind man.
What about those moments spent arguing with a loved one or feeling sorry for one's self.  How much would those moments be worth to one on their deathbed?  We take so much for granted.
What's a moment worth?  I guess it depends on your perspective.  It seems to me that if we're not careful to be thankful for all the Lord has given to us, than the very moments of our lives become meaningless.   Life is far too short to be spent in worldly pursuits, for the Bible asks, "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Mark 8:36 KJV)".
Upon further reflection, we could ask, what does it profit us to gain the world and lose the souls of our precious children?
It's never too late to start over.  It's always worth the effort of beginning afresh with your spouse, your children, your friends or even the Lord.  We don't know what tomorrow holds so enjoy every moment you're given like it were your last.
Have a blessed Lord's day!
